Learn more about SOS Extension!

We plan to extend SOS to Thai schools' English Programs (EP). An EP program is a program established by the Ministry of Education of Thailand in which most subjects are taught by Native Speakers except Thai, Arts and Social Studies, Religion and Culture classes.
Students in EP are embedded in an international environment yet maintain their native culture. Through the extension program students can independently express their opinions in a safe haven and collectively learn more about global issues.
SOS extension program facilitates this safe space by allowing students to express their personal opinions on contested issues without being judged on and listening to them share their personal stories by being vulnerable. This safe space is needed in Thai schools to foster a sense of belonging and to enhance deeper communal connection with one another.
We aim to create and facilitate accessible opportunities to learn from interviewing trailblazers.
By doing so, students enrolled in programs beyond international schools are able to be a part of the SOS Extension Project.
This SOS extension teaching program will use the Source of Success interview series to
spark constructive discussions in bringing contested global issues to the table, encouraging students to get out of their comfort zones and practice public speaking in a safe space, and enhance students' confidence to express their opinions in English.
Skills such as public speaking are important because students can utilize these skills in the future in their professions.
Furthermore, English is also a universal language-and if we allow students to speak in English, this means that they could reinforce these skills and prepare to use it in the future when communicating with others globally. Being able to have the confidence to publicly speak and share thoughts in English would allow more cultural and information exchange world wide and sustainably accelerate globalization.
